On April 1, the school organized a project initiation and demonstration meeting for the consulting research projectResearch on Realization Paths for Enhancing New Material Industrial Chain Resilience through Scientific and Technological Innovation in Jilin Provinceunder the auspices of Jilin Research Institute for Engineering Science and Technology Development Strategy, held in Room 404, Dongrong Building of Jilin University.
A review expert panel was invited, including Guo Lianqiang, Vice President of Jilin Academy of Social Sciences; Yang Hongyou, Secretary-General of Changchun Federation of Social Sciences; Zhu Guoping, Vice President of Jilin University of Finance and Economics; Yao Fengge, Dean of the School of Finance, Harbin University of Commerce; Shi Guifen from the School of Economics and Management, Northeast Normal University; and Zhang Yichen, Director of the Research Office, Changchun Institute of Technology. Professors Wu Hao and Ding Yibing and core project team members attended the meeting.
Chaired by Professor Zhang Liangyu, Professor Zhang Weiwei presented the project implementation plan, elaborating on research background, objectives, schedules and expected outcomes. Rooted in the national strategy for comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China and built upon Jilin’s industrial foundation, the project focuses on core new material technologies and industrial chain security, exploring pathways to strengthen industrial chain resilience via scientific and technological innovation.
The expert panel affirmed that the research closely responds to national strategies and local development realities with a complete framework and feasible technical routes, boasting outstanding value for policy consultation. Suggestions were put forward to refine the dynamic evaluation system in light of provincial conditions, align research with key local industrial demands, and elaborate phased tasks and management mechanisms.
Professor Zhang Weiwei thanked the experts for their guidance, stating the research team would fully incorporate all recommendations, optimize the research scheme, conduct solid field investigations, adhere strictly to the schedule, complete the project on time with high standards, and provide policy references and think tank support for the development of Jilin’s new material industry.
