Vice Dean Hou Jianming delivered an opening address. Against the backdrop of the 25th anniversary of the signing of the China-Russia Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation and the China-Russia Year of Education, he emphasized deepening bilateral exchanges and collaboration.
The conference gathered over 80 scholars from universities and research institutions across China and Russia to discuss regional economies, international relations and other topics. Multiple faculty members from our school delivered speeches focusing on Northeast Asian security and China-Russia cooperation. Representatives of the two universities held thorough negotiations on practical cooperation including dual-degree programs, study tours and joint postgraduate training, agreeing to continuously expand the scale of collaboration. After the conference, Professor Xu Bo was invited to deliver a special lecture on China-Russia relations.
This event effectively deepened ties between the two universities, consolidated the school’s foundation for academic exchanges with Russia, supported disciplinary development of regional and country studies, and served China’s foreign strategic priorities.
