On January 29, 2024, Professor Wu Hao, Dean of the School of Northeast Asian Studies, met with visiting Kulintsev, Deputy Director of the Institute of China and Contemporary Asia of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and held a working forum.

Dean Wu Hao extended a warm welcome to Kulintsev. He reviewed various exchange activities carried out by both sides over the past year, and spoke highly of the fruitful achievements in joint international conferences, personnel exchanges and collaborative research. Kulintsev conveyed greetings from Director Babayev. He noted that the School of Northeast Asian Studies and the Northeast Asian Studies College of Jilin University are key partners of the Institute of China and Contemporary Asia under the Russian Academy of Sciences. Since the signing of the exchange agreement, bilateral cooperation across multiple fields has advanced smoothly, and both sides have jointly contributed to deepening China-Russia friendship.

The two sides held in-depth consultations on work plans and priorities for 2024, and reached consensus on co-hosting the China-Russia Young Scholars Forum and publishing each other’s academic outputs. Wang Yanjun, Vice Dean of the School of Northeast Asian Studies, and Xu Bo, Deputy Director of the Institute of International Politics within the School, attended the meeting and forum.
