The Report on Northeast Asia International and Regional Studies(2020-2021) edited by Wang Shengjin, Eminent Professor in Philosophy and Social Sciences of Jilin University (JLU) and Director of the Northeast Asian Research Center of JLU was published. The report systematically explains and studies the developing trend and related issues of Northeast Asian countries under the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic in 2020-2021, and mainly introduces and discusses the development and cooperation of Northeast Asian countries in four aspects concerning regional cooperation among Japan, South Korea, Russia and Northeast Asian.
The report believes that Northeast Asia, in general, has achieved economic recovery at a relatively rapid pace, and regional economic cooperation has maintained the momentum of continued development. However, at the same time, the adverse impact of the epidemic and the context of competition between China and the United States have also prompted these countries to face different degrees of challenges with economic and social development demonstrating various trends. The Report on Northeast Asia International and Regional Studies has always been committed to providing a basic, systematic, comprehensive and scientific information platform and academic resource for domestic and foreign policy makers and researchers. The series has been published in 2010 and has produced eight books so far.
