"The Construction of Marxist Political Economy Knowledge System and Integration into the Teaching and Research of Ideological and Political Courses in Colleges and Universities" is a General Program of the National Social Science Foundation for Special Program of Ideological and Political Theory Courses in Colleges and Universities in 2022. Marxist political economy is one of the three major components of the Marxist theoretical system. Accelerating the construction of a knowledge system of Marxist political economy in the 21st century and upgrading the practical experience of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era to a systematic body of knowledge is an imperative measure to improve the teaching content of ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities, and is an intrinsic requirement for the high-quality development of ideological and political work in colleges and universities in the new era, which is of great significance for strengthening the construction of ideological and political course groups with Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as the core content.
The program is led by Associate Professor Jiang Yang of the Northeast Asian Research Center, and a research team of 8 teachers from the Northeast Asian Research Center, the Academy of Social Sciences, the School of Marxism, and the School of Economics of Jilin University, with a total budget of 200,000 yuan. In general, this program belongs to fundamental research, which will start from the fundamental standpoint of socialism with Chinese characteristics, define the research objects and methods of Marxist political economy in the 21st century, and at the same time use the basic principles of Marxist political economy to extract and summarize the regular achievements of the development practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics, so as to scientifically construct the knowledge system of Marxist political economy at the theoretical level and promote the integration of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era into ideological and political education in colleges and universities at the practical level.
