Strategy Transformation and the Future of Japan and Policies Shift and the Future of Japan, edited by Professor Pang Deliang, are the latest two representative books in the series of Japanese studies.
In the context of Japan's national strategy transformation and policies shift in recent years, the two books vertically outline the cyclical evolution of Japan's national strategy transformation and policy shift from the dimensions of politics, economy, history, military, security and culture, and horizontally show the basic direction of strategy and policy change in multiple fields, and on this premise, systematically study Japan's strategic thinking and paradigm transformation, policy and institutional transformation, and deeply analyze the internal and external dynamics of Japan's strategy transformation and policy shift. Comprehensively, they study and evaluate Japan’s future evolution direction and basic path choice, objectively reveal the uncertainty and stealthiness of its strategy and policy changes, rationally assess the multiple impacts of such changes on Japan, the region and the international order, and provide an important basis for scientific decision-making by relevant authorities.
Since its publication, this series has been widely praised and heatedly discussed by the Japanese research community. Many of the views and perspectives in the series have been continued and expanded in a variety of research reports, and have received affirmative instructions at the provincial and ministerial levels, some of which have been approved by top leaders. This recognition will further stimulate the innovation of the Japan Studies series and provide the country with more visionary and in-depth think tank support.
