Evaluation of the Effectiveness of China's New Aid to Fragile Countries from the Perspective of Public Engagement: Case of Afghanistan Survey Data is a general program of National Natural Science Foundation of China.

The program, headed by Associate Professor Zhang Yanzhe of Northeast Asian Research Center, is composed of 8 domestic and foreign experts with a total project budget of 500,000 yuan. The program cycle is expected from January 1, 2021 to December 30th, 2024. It attempts to clarify the influence paths and effects of different ways of aid on endogenous economic growth in fragile countries, evaluate and predict the implementation effects of new aid models like project cooperation and co-construction (energy, resources and infrastructure), and place focus on the important role of public engagement. The development and implementation of this program can establish a universal research framework and provide a scientific reference and countermeasures for giving full play to the important role of public engagement in regional governance, helping fragile countries find endogenous economic growth paths after disasters, realizing complementary advantages and mutual benefits between China and recipient countries, building a global economic community and maintaining regional security.
