On November 11th, 2022, the seminar on The 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party(CCP) and China and China-South Korea Relations was successfully held online, hosted by the Asiatic Studies Institute of Korea University, Korea.
Professor Wu Hao, Dean of Northeast Asian Studies College of Jilin University and Professor Lee Jinhan, Director of Asiatic Studies Institute of Korea University delivered speeches at the opening ceremony respectively. More than 20 scholars from Korea University, Institute for National Security Strategy, Korea National Diplomatic Academy, Sejong University, Kookmin University, Hanshin University and Jilin University, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, China Foreign Affairs University and Jilin Academy of Social Sciences participated in the conference.
The conference held academic discussions on the importance of the 20th National Congress, the 20th National Congress and China's foreign-security policy, and economic-science and technology policy. The Korean scholars showed great interest in the 20th National Congress and China's political, economic, scientific and technological, foreign and security policies, while the Chinese scholars focused on the main contents and significance of the 20th National Congress, China's foreign policy and Sino-South Korea relations after the 20th National Congress, which responded to the Korean side's concerns and enhanced the Korean side's knowledge and understanding of related issues.
This meeting is an important achievement of the institutionalized cooperation between the Northeast Asian Studies College of Jilin University and the Asiatic Studies Institute of Korea University in Korea. Both sides expressed that they will continue to strengthen the academic exchanges between the institutions and continue to promote the deepening development of the cooperative relationship.
