The "New Changes in Sino-Japanese-Korean Relations and Regional Cooperation Strategies" is a major project of the key research base of humanities and social sciences in universities. Since the 21st century, with the adjustment and transformation of the global political and economic structure and international order, China, Japan and South Korea have also actively and respectively promoted their adjustments and transformations in national strategies.
The strategic cooperation between China, Japan and South Korea is facing multiple challenges due to various factors such as historical perceptions, actual interests and strategic demands. Therefore, in-depth analysis of the strategic adjustment and systematic order transformation of China, Japan and South Korea, can accurately grasp the new trends in China, Japan and South Korea relations, correctly analyze the new situation and new issues of China, Japan and South Korea regional cooperation, and enhance the regional identity and mutual trust of China, Japan and South Korea. It is of great significance to promote the new development of regional cooperation in Northeast Asian.
Japan and South Korea are China’s close neighbors and partners with close economic and trade dependence. In-depth analysis of the new changes in the relationship between the three countries will bring to us the correct identification of new issues and challenges in the regional cooperation, and leads us to further exploration and improvement of China's Northeast Asian regional cooperation strategy.
The project is headed by the vice dean of Northeast Asian Studies College, Professor Pang Deliang of Northeast Asian Research Center. The research team is composed of 15 teachers .
The project comprehensively uses the theories and methods of international politics, international economics, international relations, and international political economy to conduct a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the new changes in trilateral relations and regional cooperation, and build a multi-perspective and three-dimensional theory. The analytical framework provides theoretical support and academic basis for China's Northeast Asian regional cooperation.
